Laneige Balancing Emulsion for Normal to Dry Skin

Laneige Balancing Emulsion, 4fl oz for $28.00 at Target
As Korean pop stars emerge into American media, so does their skin care products. Asia is most known for their advanced, high-performance, and--often times--cheap skin care. Japanese stores, like Daiso, sell facial masks and cleansers for as low as $1... Maybe $3. The fact is, they care more about beautiful skin than beautiful makeup. For a long time I've wanted to add an emulsion to my skin care routine and now I have finally hit the jack pot! Ha ha. Thank you, Target!
So what's an emulsion? An emulsion is basically a pre-moisturizing lotion. It helps to promote hydration and absorption of moisturizers. It's typically water based, so it works well with all skin types. Laneige has two emulsions, one for normal to dry skin and another for normal to oily skin. Emulsions should be used after toning your face and in the morning and at night. Pump it onto a cotton ball and apply using upward motions. I typically use just one pump for my face and my neck. I figured it'd be okay to use it on my neck since it's super dry and promoting hydration on my eczema seems appealing to me. So far nothing bad, like my eczema flaring up, has happened.
Laneige keeps their product descriptions plain and simple. The Laneige Balancing Emulsion for dry skin contains optimal mineral water used to "supply and retain ideal moisture levels, whisk away dead skin cells, and protect and promote clear, transparent skin." And that's it. Laneige is an Amore Pacific company, so perhaps their morals are the same. If you're interested in that, you can check out Amore Pacific.
I've been using this emulsion for two weeks and I have to say that I really like it. It works really well when I need a bit of moisture before applying my actual moisturizer. I use coconut oil for my face and I like to apply that last to prevent getting everything oily. I feel like my skin does look nicer, but it could just be because I'm using it that I feel like my skin has improved. I do love the amount of product you receive. You get 4 fl oz and I only use one pump per application, sometimes one and a half pumps.
As a whole, I love this product! It brings my skin care routine one step closer to being complete. I don't know what else I may need, but maybe not much more. For $28.00, I would definitely repurchase. No doubt. It makes my skin feel nice and clean, along with moisturized. I can visibly see residue from my skin on the cotton ball, be it makeup or dead skin cells. I'm very happy to have this as my first emulsion.
