BECCA Ultimate Coverage Complexion Creme Foundation Review

BECCA Ultimate Coverage Complexion Creme Foundation, 1.01fl oz for $44.00
 HOLY GRAIL! I have finally declared a foundation as my holy grail, though I'd like to think all the foundations I have are holy grails. Ha ha. Okay. So I took about a month to finally get around to reviewing this product because (1) I had the wrong shade, (2) I had to wait to purchase this product, then receive it, (3) I've been busy with school and FINALLY got around to taking photos of the product. Though I had the wrong shade, the only photos I have available are prior to getting my correct shade. It doesn't look bad, honestly. Ha ha. All the photos I have may also seem familiar.  xD
Okay, onwards...
I had two little dots on my finger when I swatched this... xD
 Bluntly speaking, this foundation is amazeballs! I only really became interested in purchasing it after watching CoffeeBreakwithDani's review on this holy liquid. She said it was amazing and something you should definitely get... So I got it. During my trip to California, I found out that Arden Mall's Sephora carried Becca and I was like, "Oh my god. I have to get a sample." So I grabbed the shade Nude because Buttercup was completely sold out in stores. The tester was completely empty and all the boxes were gone and sold. The counter lady told me Nude fit me fine, but... She was wrong. Lol. It looked great indoors but once I stepped out, I looked like I tried to tan only my face. So yes, my shade is Buttercup. If you're a Desert Beige in Estee Lauder Double Wear, you're probably around the shade of Buttercup as well.
The Becca Ultimate Coverage Foundation is formulated without parabens, sulfates, and phthalates. It has 21% pigment, in which case most foundations have 10%-15%, so this will cover up blemishes and pimples in a pinch. You don't even need concealor, trust me. If you have a hard-to-cover blemish, after you apply foundation, just dab a bit more, blend, and you. are. set. It's completely full coverage and it's so lightweight. The ONLY time it ever feels heavy or uncomfortable is if it's an EXTREMELY humid day outside. The foundation will dampen a bit, but it goes back to feeling great after you cool down a bit. The finish looks pretty natural, it's a semi-matte finish so you still have a bit of a natural glow. This foundation is recommended for all skin types, so don't worry about getting my specifics because this baby is recommended for you too. (;
The packaging is a sleek, matte brown container with a pump feature. The product is easy to disperse and doesn't create a huge mess. Working with this foundation took a bit of getting used to. It dries really quickly! If you don't blend it quickly enough, you will get patches. I dot mine on my face and if it doesn't get around soon enough, I see little circles on my face even after blending it into my skin. So what you have to do is dot it in one area, like your forehead, then immediately start blending it in. Move to the lower left side of your face, dot it around, then blend. Move to the rest of your face, dot it, and blend. If you enjoy putting makeup on and you like taking your time, this foundation will be like that one person who tries to rush you out the door. Lol.
To apply I've used brushes and beautyblenders. I mostly prefer beautyblenders just because they're so much more convenient and you get the same amount of coverage. I don't think there's really a "better" way to apply this foundation, so it's pretty neutral in terms of preferences. If you prefer brushes, they work just as beautifully. One thing to note is that you want to keep your tools a bit more damp than usual. So spray a bit more water on your brush and don't wring out your beautyblender as much when you're using this foundation.
Examples!
I'm sure you can already tell that I love this foundation. I get a flawless base every time I use it and I haven't had any major problems regarding this product. The only thing worth mentioning is that this foundation will sink into fine lines, for me it's mostly my laugh lines, but this product is so flexible. All I have to do is smooth it out of my laugh lines with my fingers and it's like nothing ever settled! No pigment is lost and it doesn't look like you're missing any foundation anywhere. I DO set this foundation, mostly because I'm so used to setting foundation that it's become a habit.
Overall, I suggest you go grab a bottle, or a sample of this product. It's an amazing, full coverage, lightweight foundation. It's thick, hence "creme," but feels like a feather, and a little goes a long way. It's has a mid-tier pricing, at $44.00 for the standard 1fl oz., and it's worth every penny. The only issue I may have with it is whether or not I can get ALL of the product out of the container, but we'll see when time comes. Ha ha.
What do you think?
